EMS EXEMPLARY SERVICE MEDAL
This Federal Medal is part of the Canadian Honours System. The Medal recognizes Exemplary Service to Canadians with over 20 years service. Recipients of the Medal may also be nominated to receive a subsequent Bar at 30, 40 and 50 years of continued exemplary service. (Pictured top-left). Presentations generally take place annually during or around National Paramedic Services Week in May. The Alberta EMS Awards Committee is responsible for coordinating the ceremony where nominees receive their Medal or subsequent Bars.
ALBERTA EMERGENCY SERVICE MEDAL
This Provincial Medal recognizes good conduct for those with over 12 years of service in Alberta. Recipients of the Medal may also be nominated to receive a subsequent Bar at 22, 32 and 40 years of service. (Pictured bottom-left).
Presentations of the Medal and subsequent Bars are the responsibility of the Nominator. The Alberta EMS Awards Committee does not coordinate a presentation ceremony for this award.
